Pattern making is the primary preparation for creating a cut-and-sew woven garment. Patterns consist of a template made of paper, either by hand or computer generated, that are used as guidelines to cut fabric for garment construction. Our patternmakers all have backgrounds in designing for manufacture.
“Blueprints” for a garment used by patternmakers and sewers and includes technical specifications such as measurements.
We will assist in the creation of a garment in the fabric used to establish fit, construction and details needed for development.
We will construct sew instructions, which are part of a technical package that includes instructions for stitching, machines finishes and what to sew first.
Pre-production is the stage in product development where approved samples are ready to be made for Market and Sales Reps. This stage is the step before production which includes marketing, grading and ordering fabrics and trims.
